Major Wisdom

From Minor Wisdom:
Each of us may be wiser today than we were yesterday, but that may only mean that we're slightly less of an idiot today than we were yesterday. In any event, there's a good chance we'll be wiser tomorrow than we are today. So next time we have the urge to fire off a correction to someone else's opinion, let's consider waiting until tomorrow, and thinking about it in the meantime.
Take that into account when responding to Maxim's latest list of the Worst Sports Arenas. Look who's #10:
10. Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans
Even before Katrina, the place came across as drab and soulless as a long-abandoned warehouse. Great symbol of New Orleans' resilience, lousy place to see a game.
I'll give you drab. But soulless?

yah tulane stadium was better.

still in my teenage to thirties youth i got more jollies in da dome than any year of maxim fantasys.

dont hate maxim. i think they must be jealous of the fact that the saints sucked for so long and yet they still had diehard fans.

maxim must just have becoming aware that they are now jumping the shark and want to take away our joy this year with them.

dont hate baby. we paid our dues.

Judging by his inclusion of Fenway Park, the writer would have hated Tulane stadium -- he's a loser. But he's right about the dome Take it as a compliment, New Orleans fans can even life to a soulless long-abandoned old warehouse. Come to think, music fans used to do just that.

Maybe I'm just down on the dome cause I hate my seat. I expected a bad view when I bought cheap upper level tickets, but I didn't realize how narrow the seats got in the upper levels.

I been in Dolphin Stadium and Bank of America Stadium. I'd rather be in the dome.

The Dome could use some sprucing up and suffers from being run by former Navy guys who think everything should be painted gray, but I still prefer the dome.

I'm biased. I've always loved the Dome. That said, here's my response to Maxim: Who is Maxim? And why does Maxim's opinion matter?

Maxim's little opinion piece calls to mind something I learned in the seminary from an ex-Marine fellow seminarian: "Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one."

BTW: Thanks for the nice words.

I'm with David. They lost all credibility when they put Fenway Park on that list. They clearly know nothing. Piffle.

I hated Tulane Stadium. But that's obviously just me.
